In this workshop, we will participate in poetry drills, write your own short poem, and we hope to share it with the power of rhythmic drumming of a heartbeat in Spoken Word format, which I call swing. Barbara Gail ~ Ritual Drumming: The Tambourine Path
The tambourine, a jingled frame drum, is a magical, trance-inducing instrument, steeped in ancient herstory. Many Goddesses are portrayed with a frame drum, played by Priestesses and Everyday Women, in the temples and in the streets, in ritual and in reverie. We’ll entrain through embodied rhythm practice, learn to play the drum, and co-create an elemental invocation using our tambourines. Optional: bring an altar item representing either earth, air, fire or water. Beginners welcome, Tambourines provided or BYO. http://barbaragail.com https://www.facebook.com/barbara.gail1 https://www.youtube.com/@BarbaraGail_drum_song_dance

Shelley Graff ~ Women Singing in Sacred Circle
Singing In Sacred Circle is an opportunity for each woman to share voice and spirit through song. While learning short, repetitive women-centered from a wide variety of traditions, power rises from the center of the circle as all voices create an energy that is healing, empowering, and transformative! This opportunity is intended to allow women, regardless of singing experience, to share their voices in a noncompetitive, relaxed, safe space. The intention of this Singing In Sacred Circle is to acknowledge and share the power rooted in Singing In Sacred Circles in women's lives. Percussion instruments are welcome! shelleygraffmusic@gmail.com https://www.facebook.com/shelleygraffmusic www.shelleyg.com
