In this workshop, we will participate in poetry drills, write your own short poem, and we hope to share it with the power of rhythmic drumming of a heartbeat in Spoken Word format, which I call swing. Barbara Gail ~ Ritual Drumming: The Tambourine Path

The tambourine, a jingled frame drum, is a magical, trance-inducing instrument, steeped in ancient herstory. We’ll entrain through embodied rhythm practice, learn to play the drum, and co-create an elemental invocation using our tambourines. Optional: bring an altar item representing either earth, air, fire or water. Beginners welcome, Tambourines provided or BYO.

This opportunity is intended to allow women, regardless of singing experience, to share their voices in a noncompetitive, relaxed, safe space.  The intention of this Singing In Sacred Circle is to acknowledge and share the power rooted in Singing In Sacred Circles in women's lives.  Percussion instruments are welcome!
